KISS Museum In Mexico City: Photos Available
November 30, 2004The official KISS store, KissWorld, is scheduled to open next year in Melbourne, Australia. But this won't be the first KISS museum in the world. On June 13, 2003, the first KISS museum was opened in Mexico City. It is a huge place and KISS merchandise is displayed in several rooms. It includes a club, where KISS cover bands occasionally perform.
Owner Kiko became a KISS fan in the late 70s and made his dream come true last year with the opening of the first KISS museum. Kiko has seen about 30 KISS shows all over the world, and has followed the band from Mexico to USA, from Europe to Australia. His favorite item is a Paul Stanley Firehat, and the hardest items to find were the Australian "Joint Action Mobile Figures" from 1980, still sealed.
The only thing missing in his museum he says, are four original costumes and the Kiss Pinball machine in great condition (if you have one for sale, e-mail Kiko at [email protected]).
On December 11, 2004 the first KISS Expo will take place at the KISS museum in the club. KISS drummer Eric Singer will be the special guest.
The museum and the club are located 25 minutes from Mexico City, on the Toluca Highway (Kilometer 45.5),just 100 meters pass the "Los Encinos" Golf Club Entrance. The club is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 7:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m. Live bands play every Friday and Saturday.
